Human Enterprise
by Rahman Connelly & Bradford Temple (Compiled and edited from the taks of Muhammad Subuh Sumohadiwidjojo)
Paperback
Published:
1 Jun 1995 by

Rahman Connelly & Bradford Temple

From the first World Congress in 1959 through to his death in 1987, Bapak continually reminded us, with an ever growing sense of urgency of the need for enterprises – both for our own development and for the growth of Subud.
Indeed, in his last recorded talk he drew attention to the lack of progress in this area, and called upon Subud members to exhibit courage in order to succeed in enterprises.
Human Enterprise reminds us of Bapak’s urgings and, we hope, provides inspiration for those ready to take up the enterprise challenge.

In this book practising Christians, Jews and Muslims tell why they are also members of Subud, and how the Subud latihan has brought home to them the living reality of their own, or their chosen, religion.
Their ‘evidences’ are prefaced by an introduction in which the editor gives his personal experience of Subud, together with an overview of its history and approach to social, cultural, economic and other issues. Following this are some thirty extracts from the talks of the founder of Subud, Bapak Muhammad Subuh Sumohadiwidjojo, dealing with the main theme of the book.

Emmanuel Williams

Loving is a wise, accessible guide to the spiritual and psychological
effects of sexual activity. In an honest, revealing way, Williams
shares true stories from his and others' lives that demonstrate the
hidden dangers of a superficial approach to sex, and the spiritual
significance of our sexual relationships.
Teens beginning their sexual lives can save themselves a great deal of
confusion and heartbreak if they read this book. Adults will likely
find clarity regarding confusing aspects of their past or current
intimate relationships. As a marriage and family therapist for over
twenty years, I highly recommend this book for anyone who is sexually
active or about to be."

Reminiscences of Bapak – and of my Life
by Arthur Abdullah Pope
Paperback
Published:
1 Jan 2005 by

Hilltop Farm Press

It is very good that Abdullah Pope has taken what was originally a series of articles in Subud Voice and turned them into a substantial memoir.
The memoir compels our interest on several different levels. The first is that Abdullah and his wife Salamah are living “history”. They have been involved in Subud since its arrival in the West when Bapak came to England in 1957.
Therefore, Abdullah is able to give an account of the development of Subud by one who “lived” it intimately.
